Acupuncture course takes 2 years, the first year focus on meridians, acupoints, acupuncture techniques and other therapeutic methods while the second year on the practical treatment for the common complaints and diseases in acupuncture practice, as well as the strategy of communication with patients and making treatment plans.

This course consists of 3 weekends virtual classes and 7 physical classes.
De virtuele lessen zullen zich richten op:
- Does Acupuncture work: evidence based medicine and traditional medicine.
- Meridian system and how does meridian system influence the life activities?
- Are the meridians detective
- Acupoints: points for treatment.
- Classification of acupoints, their clinical application and combination.
- Basic acupuncture needling techniques.
- Advanced needling techniques based on body constitution and pattern of diseases.
- Moxibustion Therapy.
- Cupping Therapy.
- Auricular Acupuncture.
- Scalp Acupuncture.
- Electroacupuncture.
- Patients contact: individualisation of acupoints locating and needling.

The physical classes will cover the following contents, students will get personal instruction and guidance by the lecturers during the practice :
- Acupoints locating on twelve regular meridians;
- Acupoints locating on Extra Meridians (Du & Ren Meridians )
- Needling technique (1): contact of the needles.
- Needling technique (2): hygienic needling.
- Needling technique (3): pain or pain-free?
- Needling technique (4): get familiar with the needles.
- Needling technique (5): minor stimulation makes major impact.
- Needling technique (6): needle-phobia and countermeasures.
- Moxibustion therapy.

The course “Acupuncture therapeutics” consists of 6 weekends of virtual classes and 4 weekends of physical classes. The virtual classes will focus on the following contents:
- Therapeutics viewpoint of Chinese Medicine: do we treat diseases or patients?
- Record cases and make reports; How to write a thesis on acupuncture therapy.
- Review and improve: is your medical knowledge rich enough to step further?
- Characteristics of Acupuncture therapy: it is more than just needling.
- Treatment strategy and treatment plan.
- Treatment prognosis and the balance of treatment and QOL.
- Acupuncture treatments for heart – Xin system related diseases.
- Acupuncture treatments for liver – Gan system related diseases.
- Acupuncture treatments for spleen – Pi system related diseases.
- Acupuncture treatments for lungs – Fei system related diseases.
- Acupuncture treatments for kidneys – Shen system related diseases.
- Acupuncture treatments for common paediatric diseases.
- Acupuncture treatments for gynecological diseases.
- Acupuncture treatments for dermatological diseases.
